Serve Columbus Serve Columbus is an all-church servant evangelism event, where we deploy 45 mini-teams all over Columbus to carry out various projects in our community. Projects are broken down into 3 categories: Service, Kindness & Mercy. Projects vary from random acts of kindness & giveaways, to pairing up with Columbus public schools for yard clean up and light painting, serving the homeless, free car washes , visiting nursing homes all over the city, just to name a few. Single Parents Fair
This event was intended to reach out a welcoming hand to single parents by providing free services pertinent to their needs. Some of the services we provided at the event were oil changes, car wash, legal advice, and medical services. We also provided a free lunch and lots of activities for the kids like games, crafts, motorcycle rides and a visit from the fire department. A resource table is available with information about Vineyard ministries that provide programming relevant to singles and parenting. Over 900 families turn out for this event each year. Mourning Touch (The Funeral Ministry for the Poor) Vineyard pastors serve families in the community who have lost a child and cannot afford the cost of a funeral or burial. Vineyard takes their financial burden and covers it 100%. More importantly, we bring grace and dignity to the loss by conducting the funeral service. Servant Outreach Servant Outreach is a project where people go out and perform servant-style activities to spread the love of Christ throughout the community. You may not be gifted as an evangelist, but you do have the gift of servanthood. You can use that gift to reach out to your community with the love of God. Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child sends a message of hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes and Christian literature. This program provides an opportunity for individuals of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project that reaches out to suffering children while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas-Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift. FREE Swing & Social Dance Classes Our swing and social dance class nights are designed for adult singles and couples in the community. We provide classes on the 1st & 3rd Fridays, September through May at 7:30 pm followed by socializing and practice to music, 9-10 pm. It is an opportunity to bring friends into a relaxed, fun atmosphere. A resource table is available with information about Vineyard Columbus and relevant events.
