Mission

The Men's Life department of VCC is committed to partnering with the Holy Spirit to see men built up in their relationship with Christ and others, give tools to live and serve well, and send out to do the words and works of Jesus (Doin' the Stuff). At the heart of this ministry is a desire to call men into discipleship by following Jesus and being transformed by Him. We believe Jesus wants to be a part of every area in a man's life, and He desires that they experience His life pouring through them as they work, play, love, and live. Because no man is an island, we are committed to discipleship that takes place within the context of relationships.

Small Groups

Our small groups provide a place for men to be encouraged and built up in their faith, while building deep and meaningful relationships with other men. With so many competing demands for a man's time and attention, it is important to cultivate a place of refuge from the storm so men can recharge and refocus. These groups are one avenue for men to build foundational relationships with Christ and one another, sharing their life experiences, and ministering to each other. These groups also provide a venue for the power and presence of the Holy Spirit to come while addressing issues that men face in today's society. We also recognize that many men are more comfortable relating "shoulder to shoulder" rather than face to face, therefore, we envision many of these groups as a launching pad for serving and impacting the world around them.

Men's groups meet during morning or evening hours. There is usually a time for conversation, Bible study, prayer and worship. For more information about Men's groups, contact Corey Garris, 614.259.5255 or Corey.Garris@vineyardcolumbus.org.

Prison Ministry
Men’s Life is building teams of men to minister to inmates in prisons around the Columbus area. We have opportunities to lead a monthly worship service, conduct Bible studies, lead Alpha courses, and mentor men who will be returning to our community in the near future. You do not need any prior prison ministry experience to participate. We will provide you with training. Please fill out the application (coming soon) and we will contact you with more information.

Basketball League
With the opening of the community center, Men’s Life will be involved in running basketball leagues for men throughout the year. If you would like to participate, please fill out the registration form and we will contact you with dates and times of the next available league. We are always looking for help with coaching, referees, and scorekeepers. Contact Corey Garris for more information on these details.
